The USDA says it's safe to refreeze thawed food, but it may lose some quality.

🚫 What foods cannot be refrozen after thawing?

Throw out any food that has been completely thawed, warmed to room temperature, or left out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours. This applies to meat, poultry, shellfish, some vegetables, and cooked foods.

🧊 Can you freeze and thaw something twice?

Yes, you can refreeze most previously frozen, thawed, and cooked foods as long as they haven't been left at room temperature for more than two hours. Just be careful with thawing and freezing methods.
